The new CompTIA pathway course combines our CompTIA A+ Computer Maintenance Certificate with the CompTIA Network+ Certificate to offer you a cost-effective way to fast track your IT career and gain industry recognised qualifications.
The CompTIA A+ Computer Maintenance Certificate
The CompTIA Computer Maintenance course will give you the opportunity to understand how to build, configure, install and upgrade computer systems. You will also gain a thorough understanding of software and hardware.
The CompTIA Network+ Certificate
The Network+ course is ideal for those looking to develop their knowledge of computer management and networking. The course will increase your skill set and give you the opportunity to display your skills in computer networking implementation, media and topologies, protocols and standards and includes technologies such as wireless networking and gigabit Ehternet.
The CompTIA Network+ qualification together with the CompTIA A+ qualification can be used towards the highly commended Microsoft qualifications of MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) and MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer).
Qualifications
On successful completion of the assignments and exams for both courses you will be awarded both the CompTIA A+ Computer Maintenance Certificate and the CompTIA Network+ Certificate.

Study Details
The course is spread over 8 work books and should take the average student approximately 300 hours to complete.
As you work your way through the course materials you will be required to complete a total of 33 assignments. You will have a personal tutor allocated to you who will assess your assignments and provide you with feedback and advice.
To complete the Computer Maintenance Certificate you are required to complete 3 online exams which can be taken at a local test centre:
- CompTIA Level 2 Essentials Exam 220-701
- CompTIA Level 2 Practical Application Exam 220-702
- CompTIA Level 3 Exam N10-004
Careers
On completion of the course you can expect to be able to apply for positions as a networking expert and earn up to £36,500* per year.
