CompTIA Network+ certification is a world standard in computer networking and is recognized by employers and large industry companies such as Microsoft, Lotus, Compaq, Cisco, 3Com and Novell. The CompTIA Network+ qualification together with the CompTIA A+ qualification can be used towards the highly commended Microsoft qualifications of MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) and MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer).
The CompTIA Network + certification is achieved by completion of assignments and a final online exam at an external centre. Your course will be assessed by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) whose members include leading IT organisations from around the world.
Entry requirement: Good PC skills.

Study Details
The CompTIA Network+ course is divided into 3 units and can be completed within approximately 140 hours of study on average. Each unit will gradually lead you into different features of networking.
As you progress through the course you will be required to complete 11 assignments to send to your personal tutor. Upon receipt of your assignment your tutor can assess your progress and provide you with important feedback.
In order to complete the course you will be required to sit an online exam at a local centre.
Note: The minimum computer hardware requirements for this course are:
- 400MHz or faster processor
- 128MB RAM or higher
- CD-ROM or DVD drive
- 1024 x 768 or higher resolution screen
- Your operating system must be at least WindowsXP(SP3), Windows 2003 or Windows Vista.
